8. Kalubowila Hospital

 The Mental Health Clinic in Room #25 at the Kalubowila Hospital have run out of a very important injection, Flupentixol 40mg/1L, that is administered to schizophrenic and depressed patients.

We have managed to source this from Union Chemists in Kalubowila and decided to donate 50 vials of this medicine to the hospital.

Each vial costs Rs 1,856 and the total cost for the 50 vials amounts to Rs 92,830/-

 LRH Ortho Unit has a severe shortage of 50% W/V Glucose Injection 20ML vials, which are completely out of stock in the market including even the state run SPC. We have managed to procure 600 vials from M/S George Steuart Health (Pvt) Ltd. and will deliver this week. Cost Rs 103,800 (600 @ Rs 173/-)

5. SLS Mothers Home

Sri Lanka Sumithrayo supports the Mothers Home established at the LRH Paediatric Heart Beat Unit where mothers of infants and babies who are undergoing heart surgery and other procedures are allowed to stay over until their kids are healed and discharged. The home is built free by the SL Navy and managed by a Matroj=n hired and paid by them. The facility requires daily supplies of tea, coffee, sugar, water,  leaning material, and other domestic utility needs in order to make the Mothers stay comfortable since they hail from far away places in the island. The fathers are housed in the nearby Mosque, Church, Temple, and Kovil.
